This course has been designed and developed to provide learners with skills and knowledge to provide a first aid response in the workplace, home or community settings. Topics covered include but not limited to: cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), medical emergencies including trauma, asthma, anaphylaxis and envenomation. By the end of the course you will be confident in the treatment and stabilisation of injured, ill or unconscious people.
This course is delivered and assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), other Australian national peak clinical body guidelines and related CSNSW Policies and Procedures. Upon successful completion of learning and assessment requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
