CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence

Work​​ing with Domestic and Family Violence ​Offending

This 2-day introductory course provides some useful insights into domestic and family violence.

Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  • work within a domestic and family violence framework,
  • promote confidence when interacting with clients affected by domestic and family violence,
  • identify and respond to client needs, and
  • model high standards of performance.

Prior to attending the 2-day workshop, learners will be required to complete the online pre-reading which will provide information that will assist in the workshop learning component.

Following the workshop, learners will be awarded a Statement of Training.

Learners who are also interested in achieving the unit of competency CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence, can then enrol into the unit of competency and complete the associated assessment portfolio.

After successfully completing the course and associated assessment, learners will receive a Statement of Attainment in CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence in partial completion of CSC40122 Certificate IV in Correctional Practice.
