Working with Domestic and Family Violence Offending Workshop

Course OverviewThis workshop is designed to provide learners with the appropriate skills and knowledge to work effectively with users of domestic and family violence , affect behavioural change, and manage personal development in the field.
Course Outcomes

At the end of this workshop you will have the skills and knowledge to:

  • work within a domestic and family violence framework,
  • promote confidence when interacting with clients affected by domestic and family violence,
  • identify and respond to client needs, and
  • model high standards of performance.

On completion of this workshop, you will be eligible to enrol in the Working with Domestic and Family Violence Offending Assessment which is aligned to the Unit of Competency CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence in partial completion of CSC40122 Certificate IV in Correctional Practice.

Entry requirementsOpen to all Corrective Services NSW staff.
Delivery mode

This workshop will require completion of the following;

  • Prerequisite online component (4 hours approximately)
  • Face to face / Virtual attendance (2 days)
