Suicide is a concern in the community. In order to accurately assess an individual's risk of suicide you have to know how and when to intervene. This course aims to provide participants with the appropriate skills and knowledge to provide sensitive and effective intervention to individuals who are at risk of suicide.
Participants will be required to complete an online prerequisite component prior to attending the face to face training day.
Completion of the prerequisite component and the face to face training will result in participants receiving a Statement of Training.
Those participants who wish to gain the Unit of Competence CHCCCS003 Increase the safety of individuals at risk of suicide will need to complete the online assessment component via the LMS. Successful completion of all assessment tasks will result in the participant being awarded a Statement of Attainment for the CHCCCS003 Increase the safety of individuals at risk of suicide from the CHC Community Services Training Package. Participants have 12 weeks from confirmation of enrolment in the Assessment Course to complete and submit their assessment.
This course is delivered and assessed via blended learning, comprising of an online learning component and 1 day face to face training.
