CSC60120 Advanced Diploma of Correctional Management

Course Overview This course is designed for individuals employed in senior management roles within a correctional environment and focuses on strategic planning and implementing or driving changes in justice services as well as providing high level leadership within correctional jurisdictions.
Course Outcomes At the end of this course, you should have the knowledge and skills in:
  • Provision of high-level leadership within correctional environment.
  • Undertaking strategic planning to implement and drive change in justice services.
  • Conducting high level research and analysis to plan, develop and implement leadership and management initiatives.
  • Achieving results in line with organisation goals and strategic directions

Entry requirements

Participants enrolling into the Advanced Diploma must have at least one of the below requirements before entry:

  • Ongoing employment at the grade 11/12 level (or equivalent) and/or,
  • Participant in Australian Correctional Leadership Program and/or,
  • Approval to enrol from Assistant Commissioner or Director (CSNSW or another Correctional Jurisdiction)

Assessment
Assessment in this qualification involves completion of a number of tasks to support the implementation of a workplace change aligned to service delivery, including research, project management and evaluation.
Award 

​Completion of all course assessment tasks will lead to the award of CSC60120 Advanced Diploma of Correctional Management.
