Essential tools for managers will provide participants with skills to effectively lead people in the context of frontline teams. This course focusses on exploring the critical success factors in establishing credibility of a Leader, creating a resilient workforce and identifying unique leadership styles.
This face to face course will enable Functional Managers to increase their skills and experience in effectively managing staff. Participants will be provided with the opportunity to develop insight, skills, knowledge and attributes needed to successfully lead others in the workplace.
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this course learners will be able to:
- Demonstrate awareness of personal style to improve time, stress and team management
- Identify strategies to prioritise work and assign tasks
- Monitor and drive team performance
- Understand the requirements for effective supervisory relationships
- Understand the relationship between workplace challenges and personal or team dynamics
- Apply leadership behaviours that motivate and inspire
- Apply techniques to recognise communication preferences and adjust their style accordingly
- Understand the social neuroscience of emotions and emotional intelligence
- Demonstrate methods for reducing stress and be better equipped to manage high work demands
- Utilise strategies to build resilience
- Demonstrate use of interpersonal effectiveness to develop a performance culture
- Align the Goals and strategies of Justice NSW with you specific area of responsibility
- Use Justice NSW Administration tools for effective project and location management
