This course focuses on building on communication skills that assist staff in motivating offenders especially through times of change. The course will enable staff to build on their motivational interactions skills and built on experience of using change talk and other motivational techniques to assist offenders to move toward change in a positive manner.
At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to utilise motivational interactions techniques which focus on reframing pre contemplative and contemplative statements to motivate offenders towards change.
